A UC Santa Barbara basketball fan ran onto the court in the first half of Thursday night’s game and went over to the Hawaii bench to confront Warriors head coach Gib Arnold.
The incident occurred moments after Arnold was given a technical foul for arguing with an official. The fan appeared to be seated about five to eight rows away from the court and was not stopped by anyone on his way to the playing surface. Several Hawaii players got the fan away from Arnold before the situation got worse.
The fan managed to get back into the crowd before being escorted from the building.
