The New York Jets angered many folks when the team released longtime starting quarterback Mark Sanchez and picked up former Eagles quarterback Michael Vick last week.

Vick famously was sentenced to 23 months in federal prison in 2007 for his part in an interstate dogfighting operation, and sports fans and even non-sports fans haven’t forgotten. One woman recently took to Facebook to vent her anger about the signing, posting her comments to a Jets page. The only hitch was that the page she posted to was for the Newcastle Jets — an Australian soccer club.

Someone from the Newcastle Jets informed the woman of her mistake while also providing a solid assessment of the signing.
