The New York Yankees cruised past the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday night, coasting to a 9-3 win in Jacoby Ellsbury’s return to Fenway Park.

Ellsbury went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored as he led the Yankees’ offensive attack. New York has now won four of the first five games between these two rivals this season.

It wasn’t a pretty performance by the home team by any means, but after the game, catcher A.J. Pierzynski wasn’t making any excuses, summing the game up with, “sometimes you just have bad nights.”
