Two associates of former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez were indicted on murder charges Friday, the Bristol County district attorney’s office announced, per the Boston Globe.
A grand jury in Bristol County returned separate indictments against Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace, both of Bristol, Conn., in connection with the June 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd.
Ortiz and Wallace previously had been charged with being accessories after the fact and had pleaded not guilty. The men will be arraigned in Fall River Superior Court at a date yet to be scheduled.
Hernandez, who remains in jail without bail, has pleaded not guilty to the 2013 slaying.
