This one probably isn’t going to make it into MMA fighter Alex McCooke’s highlight reel.

McCooke was slated to fight James Gallagher during an MMA event in Belfast, Northern Ireland. “Was” is the key term, though, as neither fighter had time to throw a punch.

Immediately following the first bell of the first round, McCooke pounded the octagon’s canvas, setting a new record for the fastest tap-out in MMA history.

Gallagher said over Twitter that McCooke told him he had a sore chest and wasn’t prepared for the fight, according to FOXSports.com
