Boston Athletes Show Support On Marathon Bombing Anniversary (Photos)

Boston Strong took on a new meaning Tuesday, as the city paused to remember the tragic events surrounding the 2013 Boston Marathon and honor the brave men and women who risked their lives in the face of danger.

This support extended to Boston’s five major sports teams, which have been so instrumental in the city’s healing process. Earlier in the day, the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics, New England Patriots and New England Revolution came together on Twitter to show their solidarity on the marathon’s anniversary.

Throughout the rest of the day, prominent Boston athletes and sports figures took to social media to express their support for the city.
