Boston Marathon Runner Proposes To Girlfriend At Finish Line (Photos)

For most, finishing a marathon would be accomplishment enough for one afternoon. Not for Boston Marathon runner Greg Picklesiner, though.

Picklesiner, a Newton, Mass., native, crossed the finish line shortly before 1 p.m. Monday afternoon and was down on one knee seconds later, proposing to his girlfriend, Carla, right there on Boylston Street.

“After last year, I realized the people you love can be taken away from you,” Picklesiner told WBZ-TV after the race.
