The Boston Public Library has unveiled a month-long marathon memorial exhibit to mark the one-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing.

“Dear Boston: Messages from the Marathon Memorial” is comprised by artifacts that were placed in Copley Square in the days following the attack. The exhibit is divided into three sections, with one corner filled with handwritten messages, hung on tree branches, that show support and love for Boston. In the center of the room, more than 150 pairs of running shoes can be found, and the last section contains four crosses built for the four victims who lost their lives last April.
