The Boston Bruins dominated the first period of Tuesday night’s Game 3 by scoring two goals in a six-minute span against the Detroit Red Wings.
The early scoring took the Joe Louis Arena crowd out of the game and allowed the Bruins to relax and play their physical style of hockey that wears down opponents over the course of 60 minutes.
Another fast start in Thursday’s Game 4 could help Boston take a commanding 3-1 series lead.
