Antoine Roussel is quickly becoming one of the most hated players in the NHL, and with the Dallas Stars up 4-2 late in the third period of Wednesday night’s Game 4, Anaheim Ducks forward Corey Perry had enough of him.
The two players dropped their gloves for a rare playoff fight. It was a pretty even bout, but Roussel earns a small edge for getting the takedown.
This fight comes two days after Roussel and Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf — who’s wearing a special mask to protect a facial injury — traded punches. Getzlaf did not play in Game 4 because of an upper body injury.
Game 5 of this series, which is tied 2-2, will be played Friday night in Anaheim.
