David BeckhamDavid Beckham might be the busiest man in soccer, despite retiring from the sport nearly a year ago.

Beckham has teamed up with British liquor giant Diageo to create Haig Club — a new brand of scotch whiskey. Diageo announced the partnership, which includes Beckham’s close friend and business associate Simon Fuller, on Tuesday.

“I’m proud to be working at the heart of a homegrown brand which has built an incredible heritage over 400 years,” Beckham said, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.

Diageo says that Haig Club will showcase “butterscotch and toffee” flavors and cost around $65 for a bottle.

Neither Diageo nor Beckham revealed financial details of the deal, but a Diageo spokeswoman said Beckham and Fuller would be “fully involved in the development and strategy of the brand.”

The hope is that the Beckham-Diageo partnership will raise the appeal of scotch whiskey products among younger drinkers.

Beckham’s list of post-soccer endeavors already includes his own lines of underwear and cologne, as well as a potential Major League Soccer expansion franchise in Miami. Beckham now has something to drink when he raises a glass to toast his own success.
