Hundreds of lives were changed one year ago when two bombs went off at the Boston Marathon finish line.

The Boston Globe recently brought a number of survivors and first responders together for a photo shoot to commemorate the first anniversary of the tragedy, and a few familiar faces stand out in the crowd.

Boston Red Sox players David Ortiz, Dustin Pedroia and Jonny Gomes joined Boston Bruins players Zdeno Chara and Patrice Bergeron in one corner of the photo alongside those affected by the tragedy.

“It’s a huge honor to be part of that (photo),” Chara said, according to The Boston Globe. “Very humbling that we were able to participate in such a proud moment of capturing what did happen, and more likely how the city and people and athletes, everybody, responded.”
