The New England Patriots need to select a tight end in the upcoming 2014 NFL draft, even if they add a veteran before May 8.
The Patriots reportedly hosted former New York Jets and Miami Dolphins tight end Dustin Keller on a free-agent visit on Wednesday, but they still need to add youth and depth at the position. Starter Rob Gronkowski might not be ready to start the 2014 season, and Keller has missed the last season and a half with knee, groin and ankle injuries.
