ESPN ‘I Believe’ Ad Makes Americans Pumped For 2014 World Cup (Video)

ESPN is helping build a nation of believers. Believers in U.S. Soccer, that is.

ESPN released a new 2014 FIFA World Cup commercial Wednesday, which rallies support for the U.S. men’s national team ahead of this summer’s World Cup journey.

The new spot compiles sights and sounds from the Americans’ 2-0 victory over Mexico last October at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. It features some of the national team’s most ardent fans, many of whom belong to the American Outlaws, performing one of their signature chants, “I Believe.”

The U.S. won every home game it played during the 2014 World Cup qualifying cycle. Perhaps the “I Believe” chant contains a little bit of magic.
