The Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles will square off one more time before the Sox return to Fenway Park for Friday’s much-anticipated World Series ring ceremony.
Felix Doubront will start for Boston in Thursday’s rubber match at Camden Yards. Doubront had a roller-coaster 2013 season — as well as an up-and-down spring training — so it’ll be interesting to see what the young left-hander provides in his first start of the 2014 campaign.
Jonny Gomes and Jackie Bradley Jr. have found their way into Red Sox manager John Farrell’s lineup card, with the Orioles trotting out a lefty starter in Wei-Yin Chen. Their presence is further proof that Boston’s order isn’t set in stone and will fluctuate based on matchups.
