The Boston Bruins will be without two of their usual skaters Tuesday night when they take on the Minnesota Wild.
Bruins head coach Claude Julien told reporters after morning skate that winger Jarome Iginla and defenseman Kevan Miller will not suit up for the game.
“They’re not going to be in tonight,” Julien said, via The Boston Globe. “They’re on the trip because they could play if we need them to.”
Both players sat out Saturday’s win over the Philadelphia Flyers as well — Iginla with a lower-body injury and Miller with an undisclosed ailment — and neither practiced Monday.
Julien said he doesn’t believe the injuries will have a major effect on his plan to rest players leading up to the playoffs.
“Maybe a little bit, but not that much,” he said. “We’ll still get to do what we want to do here, so just a matter of putting that puzzle together with four games left and go with it.”
The Bruins travel to Winnipeg on Thursday before returning home to host the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday afternoon.
