Jonathan HerreraThe Boston Red Sox still are looking for their first home win of the season when the Texas Rangers visit for a three-game series.

The Red Sox, who were blanked by the Brewers on Sunday as Milwaukee capped off the series sweep, hope to get their offense rolling Monday night. The Sox left 17 total runners on base during the three-game set as their lineup continues to be jumbled around with injuries mounting early.

With Will Middlebrooks joining Shane Victorino on the 15-day disabled list, utilityman Jonathan Herrera will make his third consecutive start at third base and bat eighth. The Sox also added some depth in the infield Monday by signing 33-year-old Ryan Roberts to a major league deal. Grady Sizemore will return to the lineup after receiving some rest Sunday, and Jackie Bradley Jr. will slide over to right field while Daniel Nava will be in left.

John Lackey will take the mound for Boston, looking for his second win of the season after limiting the Baltimore Orioles to just two runs and three hits in his 2014 debut. Lackey will go against right-hander Tanner Scheppers, who struggled mightily in his Opening Day start, giving up seven runs on eight hits in four innings against the Philadelphia Phillies.
