StamkosCooperTampa Bay Lightning head coach Jon Cooper made an appearance at Steven Stamkos’ media scrum Monday to get an update on the superstar center’s health.

“How you feeling today?” Cooper asked his captain, using a water bottle as a microphone.

“Better than I did yesterday,” Stamkos replied. “We’ll see. Probably a game-time decision.”

The 23-year-old forward was knocked out of the Lightning’s 3-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday night when he took a knee to the head during the second period. He was forced to leave the game but returned for the third period.

Tampa Bay is facing a 3-0 series deficit going into Game 4, but at least Cooper is keeping the team loose and relaxed.
