Earvin “Magic” Johnson responded to racially charged remarks allegedly made by Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling and vowed never to attend another Clippers game while Sterling still owns the team.
Johnson was at the center of an argument between Sterling and his girlfriend, V. Stiviano, after Stiviano posted a photo of herself on Instagram with the Basketball Hall of Famer. In an audio recording of a phone call between Sterling and Stiviano, Sterling tells his girlfriend that she’s not to associate with Johnson in public.
“Don’t put him (Johnson) on an Instagram for the world to have to see so they have to call me,” Sterling said in the audio recording, via TMZ Sports. “And don’t bring him to my games.”
Sterling continued on, asking Stiviano not to “take pictures with minorities” and not to bring them to any Clippers games.
Johnson tweeted in response to the remarks.

The NBA is investigating if Sterling actually made the remarks, according to USA Today Sports.
“The remarks heard on the recording are disturbing and offensive, but at this time we have no further information,” NBA executive vice president of communication Mike Bass said. He also said the league is conducting a “full investigation.”
