New York Mets pitcher Matt Harvey took to Twitter to celebrate the six-month anniversary of his Tommy John surgery, sending out a picture of himself in his hospital bed after the procedure in October with his middle finger raised to the camera. An edited version of the tweet can be seen below.

Soon after, though, Harvey deleted the tweet that was accompanied with the seemingly innocent text, “I can’t believe it’s been 6 months already #tommyjohn.” Not long after the tweet disappeared, the right-hander’s entire Twitter account was the next to go.

According to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York, the Mets weren’t thrilled with the obscene gesture and requested removing the tweet because of it. But the team added that it was Harvey’s decision to take down his entire account.

Happy six-month anniversary, Matt?
