NESN Announces Boston Bruins’ First-Round Stanley Cup Playoff Game Schedule

NESN, New England’s most watched sports network, will deliver regionally exclusive coverage of up to five Eastern Conference quarterfinal games between the Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings. In addition to first-round game coverage, NESN will produce one-hour of pre and post-game shows before and after Boston Bruins playoff games throughout the playoffs.

NESN’s coverage of the Bruins’ first-round Stanley Cup playoff series begins Friday, April 18 at 6 p.m. with 90-minutes of pre-game coverage, starting with “The Bricks LIVE: Postseason Edition.” “Bruins Face-Off LIVE” follows at 6:30 p.m. with Dale Arnold, Billy Jaffe, Barry Pederson and Jamie Erdahl, and leads into NESN’s regionally exclusive coverage of Game 1 at 7:30 p.m. with Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley calling the action from TD Garden. Immediately following each game, NESN will deliver complete post-game coverage with “Ace Ticket presents Bruins Overtime LIVE.”

NESN Sets New Full-Season Bruins Game Ratings Record

NESN set a new ratings record for a full season, garnering a 5.0 average household rating during the 2013/14 regular season (71 games). The network’s previous best full-season regular-season rating was a 4.7 HH average set during the 2011-12 season. During last year’s shortened season, the network posted an all-time high 6.3 HH rating while broadcasting 41 of the Bruins’ 48 regular-season games.
