Nets’ Mason Plumlee Blocks LeBron James’ Game-Winning Dunk Attempt

Tuesday night’s game between the Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat featured one of the more unpredictable endings seen this NBA season.

Trailing by one point, the Heat began their final push up the court at American Airlines Arena in Miami with a little over 10 seconds remaining in the game. Quickly, the best-case scenario evolved for Miami — LeBron James going up for a two-handed slam dunk to try to win the game with mere seconds left.

Sounds like a sure thing, right? Wrong, thanks to Nets rookie Mason Plumlee.

Plumlee rose to meet James at the rim and denied him the game-winning jam. LeBron appeared shocked that no foul was called, but the game was over and the Nets had won their fourth regular-season game against Miami.
