The NFL continues to dominate.
The NFL ranked as America’s favorite sport for the 30th consecutive year in a survey conducted by the Harris Poll. The survey has asked fans 18 and over about their favorite sport since 1985.
The NFL garnered 35 percent of the vote. Major League Baseball came in second with 14 percent, followed by college football (11 percent), auto racing (7 percent), the NBA (6 percent), NHL (5 percent) and college basketball (3 percent).
The NFL led MLB by just 1 percentage vote when the Harris Poll began. Professional football since has risen in popularity while baseball has dropped.
