The Phoenix Coyotes fell short of reaching the NHL playoffs this year, and the team is already making moves — just not with regards to personnel.

According to Arizona Republic hockey reporter Sarah McLellan, the team will bring back their old retro jerseys for at least one game next season. They will likely be used in favor of the team’s “third” jerseys.

McLellan also reported that the team plans to change from the “Phoenix” Coyotes to the “Arizona” Coyotes. The name change won’t dramatically alter their primary sweaters, as the only planned adaptation will be switching the shoulder patch from “PHX” to “AZ.”

With their jerseys and name figured out, now the Coyotes can begin to address some of their lesser concerns, like putting together a playoff team.
