A Polish soccer fan took his devotion to Zaglebie Lubin a little too far during Saturday’s game against Slask Wroclaw.

The Zaglebie Lubin superfan stood on top of a fence waving a flare in the air when a stadium security guard attempted to reprimand him by firing tear gas in his direction, but the result was a chemical reaction that set the soccer fan on fire.

The burning fan was quickly extinguished, returned to the crowd, and was unharmed by the incident, according to Christopher Lash of Rightbankwarsaw.com.

Slask Wroclaw won the game against Zaglebie Lubin 1-0.
