If this ends up being the final image of Rajon Rondo as a member of the Boston Celtics, at least fans know he appreciated them.
One day after the point guard honored Boston Marathon bombing victims with his footwear while sitting out the season finale with a hamstring injury, Rondo and the Celtics issued a thank you to fans in an email Thursday. The email repeated a message that was posted on the video board at TD Garden during Wednesday’s game, with Rondo saying, “You can’t cheat the fans.”
