Red Sox Star In Home Base Program, Joining Forces PSAs At White House (Photos)

After “the selfie heard around the world” was taken, the Boston Red Sox made the most of their White House visit earlier this season by shooting a PSA for the Home Base Program and Joining Forces.

Both programs focus on helping our nation’s troops and veterans as well as their families.

While the entire team was included in the spot, David Ortiz, Dustin Pedroia and John Farrell were just a few of the video’s biggest stars. Red Sox closer Kohi Uehara, however, stole the show with superb acting skills. Be sure to check out the video on NESN Thursday night, or if you’re at Fenway Park for the series finale between the Sox and Yankees, it will air before the game on the big screen.
