Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel is one of the most coveted players in the 2014 NFL draft, and rumors have been swirling for weeks as to what team will take the Aggies star.

The latest rumor comes from CBS Sports NFL announcer Jim Nantz, who told ESPNCleveland.com that Manziel could end up with the Dallas Cowboys.

“I’ve heard this rumor for a month — the Cowboys will figure out a way to get Manziel,” Nantz said. “Wherever Manziel goes, there is going to be more clamoring about Johnny Manziel than there would be about Blake Bortles going No. 1 or (Jadeveon) Clowney going No. 1, or anyone else. This is a guy that there’s just a tremendous interest in everything he does.”

If the Cowboys hope to land Manziel, they might have to do some maneuvering. Dallas currently owns the 16th pick in the 2014 draft, and Manziel is expected by many to be a top-10 pick.

The Tyler, Texas native also has received interested from the Houston Texans, who brought the quarterback in for a visit last Monday. Houston has the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft.

The draft is set to begin next Thursday, May 8, from Radio City Music Hall in New York.
