Robert KraftRich Eisen had a very special guest on his podcast Thursday.

Eisen was scheduled to have comedian Adam Carolla, Oakland Raiders running back Maurice Jones-Drew and film director Ivan Reitman on the “Rich Eisen Podcast,” but he received an impromptu phone call from New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft during the show’s second segment.

Kraft called in to thank Carolla for championing the cause of raising goal-post heights for years. The Patriots’ proposal to raise the goal posts by 5 feet passed last month during the NFL Annual Meeting.

“We always like to speak with influential opinion makers who can change things that important with the culture of America,” Kraft told Eisen and Carolla.

You can download the podcast here. Kraft calls in at the 50:45 mark.
