New England Patriots Hall of Fame linebacker Tedy Bruschi completed his second Boston Marathon on Monday.

Bruschi finished the race in 4:47:44, improving on his time of 5:26:02 from 2012. Meeting him at the finish line was Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who gave the Pats legend a big hug:

Bruschi told ESPN, with whom he works as an NFL analyst, that he got the idea of running the marathon while he was training next to Tom Brady on a treadmill.

“We should run that race,” Bruschi recalled Brady saying.

Bruschi, who suffered a stroke in 2005, ran for his charity, Tedy’s Team, raising money for the American Stroke Association.
