Expectations were high for Xander Bogaerts coming into the 2014 Boston Red Sox season, and so far, the rookie shortstop has exceeded them.

Bogaerts was batting .412 with two doubles and a 1.053 OPS coming into Sunday afternoon’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers. He has four walks to just three strikeouts.
