Jon GriffinArizona Diamondbacks minor leaguer Jon Griffin picked up Thursday where he left off the previous night, hitting baseballs out of the park.

On Wednesday, theĀ first baseman for the Mobile BayBears, the Diamondbacks’ Double-A affiliate, hit four home runs in just five innings in a 17-7 win. Griffin launched solo shots in the fifth and six innings, a three-run blast in the seventh and a two-run jack in the ninth.

On Thursday, Griffin homered in his first at-bat in the second inning of a game against the Tennessee Smokies, extending his long ball streak to five, according to ABC News.

The major league record is four consecutive at-bats with a home run, which makes Griffin’s feat all the more impressive.

Through Wednesday, Griffin had nine home runs through 40 games this season after hitting three in 61 games last season in Mobile.
