It looks like the University of Auburn grounds crew had a little free time on their hands on Friday.
This week, the Auburn football team made its final preparations for “Big Cat Weekend” — an annual recruiting extravaganza in which top prospects descend upon Auburn, Ala., to be courted by Tigers coaches and players. To show recruits just how awesome Auburn is, the grounds crew at Jordan-Hare Stadium decided to recreate one of the most famous plays in school history using some spray paint.

Chris Davis, of course, is the Tigers defensive back who took a last-second missed field goal and returned it 109 yards for the touchdown to clinch a miraculous win over the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2013 “Iron Bowl.”
The orange splotch represents the exact spot where Davis caught the fateful kick, while the dashes mark the serpentine route he followed to break the hearts of Crimson Tide fans and propel his team to the BCS National Championship game.
If that doesn’t make recruits choose Auburn over Alabama, we don’t know what will.
