Montreal head coach Michel Therrien announced Saturday morning that forward Michael Bournival will replace veteran winger Travis Moen in the team’s lineup. Moen played just 13:07 in the team’s Game 1 double-overtime win and was a minus-1 in the win over Boston. He had three of the team’s 30 blocked shots.
Bournival, 21, played in 60 games this season for the Canadiens. He scored seven goals and added seven assists. He’s viewed as a strong defensive player and could get some work on the penalty kill as well.
It’s expected that the Bruins will go with the same lineup for Game 2.
Here are the projected lines and defensive pairs for both clubs.
