When it comes to New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, you either love him or you hate him. It turns out that most people feel the latter.
Belichick earned a spot on Sports Illustrated’s Most Disliked People In Sports list, joining the likes of people such as New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez and former Miami Dolphins lineman Richie Incognito.
The list consists of 35 athletes, coaches, owners and more, and is unranked.
Belichick’s presence on the list is unsurprising, as his ruthless will to win and straight-faced nature rub many people the wrong way. His involvement in the 2007 “Spygate” fiasco, in which Patriots staff illegally filmed the New York Jets’ signals during a game, also earned him the ire of many football fans.
