Cincinnati Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips apparently is vying to become the king of photo and videobombs.

After he performed a very athletic photobomb on some U.S. Olympians earlier in the season, Phillips decided to up the ante with a spectacular videobomb.

San Diego Padres pitcher Ian Kennedy was being interviewed by MLB Network on Wednesday at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati when Phillips had some fun. A couple of Reds players walked by in the background of the interview, but Phillips stayed a while, walking back and forth across the screen and staring at the camera.

Kennedy did a great job at acting like Phillips wasn’t there until he started popping up behind him while he was speaking. Phillips is lucky, too, because you can assume he doesn’t know Kennedy well and therefore wouldn’t know how he’d react to his antics.

At least he didn’t make Kennedy cry.

Check out the hilarious videobomb in the video below.
