The B’s recalled winger Matt Fraser from Providence, the team announced. In order to make room for Fraser, the B’s are sending young forward Justin Florek back to Providence. The move comes on the morning of the Bruins’ Game 4 matchup in their second-round Stanley Cup playoffs series with the Montreal Canadiens with Boston trailing the series 2-1.

Fraser played in 14 games this season with the big club. He was recalled in early December after Chris Kelly went down with a leg injury on Dec. 7. Fraser scored twice in the month he was with the B’s before being sent down after scoring against the Los Angeles Kings on Jan. 9. Fraser also had two fights in his time with the Bruins.

The 23-year-old scored 20 goals and added 10 assists in 44 regular-season games with Providence. He also tallied three goals in Providence’s first-round series win over the Springfield Falcons.

If Fraser is in the lineup for Game 4, he would give the Bruins another big body with his 6-foot-1, 204-pound frame. He’s not afraid to get physical and could play on either wing. He also has a scoring touch, which he flashed a couple of times during his first call-up with the Bruins.

Florek appeared in four regular-season games with the Bruins and was recalled prior to the playoffs. He appeared in all five games agains the Detroit Red Wings and Game 1 against the Canadiens. He scored the Bruins’ first goal in a Game 2 win over the Red Wings in the first round.
