The Montreal Canadiens stunned the Boston Bruins in Game 7 Wednesday night at TD Garden, defeating the Black and Gold 3-1 to advance to the Eastern Conference final.

Carey Price made 29 saves for the Habs, and Max Pacioretty scored the winner midway through the second period to eliminate the league-leading Bruins from the playoffs. Dale Weise and Daniel Briere also scored for Montreal.

Jarome Iginla cut the Canadiens’ lead to 2-1 with just over two minutes remaining in the second, scoring on a power-play goal, but Briere sealed the Bruins’ fate late in the third period when he shot the puck off Zdeno Chara’s skate and into the net.

The Canadiens will play the New York Rangers for a spot in the Stanley Cup finals. Game 1 will be Saturday at the Bell Centre.
