David MoyesDavid Moyes is having a difficult month.

Less than 30 days after Manchester United fired him as manager, Moyes now finds himself under police investigation.

Moyes, 51, will be questioned by police over an alleged assault at a wine bar in Lancaster, England, around 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Mirror.

“Police are investigating a report of an assault at the Emporium wine bar in Clitheroe,” a Lancashire Police statement said. “Officers attended the bar at about 10 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday, May 21st), and it was reported that a 23 year old local man had been assaulted by a 51 year old man. He did not require hospital treatment.

“Inquiries are ongoing and we are speaking to a number of people to try to establish the circumstances.

“There are a number of differing accounts which we need to work through to try to establish exactly what has happened. No-one has been arrested at this stage.”

The incident allegedly took place as Moyes was dining with a friend. The Mirror also reported the alleged victim told police that he was hit in the back of the head, fell to the floor and injured his shoulder.

Moyes has not spoken publicly about the incident.

The Scot has kept out of the limelight since his dismissal from Old Trafford last month, but rumors say he could return to management at another club before next season.
