It’s been a roller coaster week for the Los Angeles Clippers, but the team ended on a high note. The Clips beat the Golden State Warriors 126-121 in Game 7 of their first-round NBA playoff series on Saturday, and Clippers head coach Doc Rivers could breathe a sigh of relief.

Rivers could barely contain his excitement on the sidelines as his team wrapped up the series.

“This was a hard week,” Rivers said after the game, via USA TODAY Sports. “Was it a week? It feels like two months. I needed to be able to smile and laugh and cheer and be proud of something.”

The Clippers and the Warriors reportedly engaged in a heated exchange of words after the game in the tunnel that connects the two locker rooms, and Rivers addressed his players afterward, saying, “The adversity is good for us.”
