Jameis WinstonJameis Winston has been reinstated to the Florida State University baseball team after completing 20 hours of community service as part of his punishment for a shoplifting citation he received on Tuesday.

“Winston is reinstated, yes,” Florida State baseball coach Mike Martin said, per the Orlando Sentinel. “He finished his community service and as soon as he did, we reinstated him.”

The Heisman Trophy winner was cited for allegedly taking crab legs from a local grocery store without paying for them. Although the two-sport star was not arrested, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office did require Winston to complete 20 hours of community service as part of a pre-trial diversion program.

Winston released a statement after the incident, accepting blame for what he called “a moment of youthful ignorance.”

The Seminoles closer will be eligible to play in Tuesday’s game at Stetson. Saturday’s doubleheader against Minnesota was the only game action Winston missed.
