New York Mets right-hander Jenrry Mejia has been godawful in his three most recent starts, prompting manager Terry Collins to shift him to the bullpen before the start of the team’s Subway Series against the Yankees.

So, when Mejia pitched 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief Monday night to pick up the win, he was understandably excited.

After mowing down Yankees center fielder Brett Gardner to close out the eighth inning, the 24-year-old Dominican native earned a few style points by busting out a mini-moonwalk on his way back to the dugout.

The Mets fell behind early but rallied for runs in the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth innings en route to a 9-7 win in the series opener.
