Ah, the belly bump. When executed correctly, it’s a perfectly acceptable way to celebrate after your team makes a big play. Mistime your leap by a fraction of a second, though, and there’s a good chance you’ll end up making a fool of yourself on national TV.
That’s what happened Friday to one mask-wearing Washington Nationals fan, whose celebration late in the Nats’ win over the New York Mets did not exactly go as planned.
“A” for effort, “D-” for execution.
