May 7, 2014 – NESN, New England’s most watched sports network, announced plans to launch a sports news show called “NESN Live presented by Cross Insurance,” airing Monday through Friday at 5:30 p.m. beginning in June. The show’s primary hosts will be Elle Duncan and Sarah Davis.

“ ‘NESN Live’ will take an early look at the sports news of the day hosted by two entertaining and opinionated women who will look to interact live with former players, team experts and fans of New England sports,” said Joseph Maar, NESN’s Vice President of Programming and Production, Executive Producer. “Elle and Sarah will bring a unique female perspective along with their engaging personalities and knowledge about sports and pop culture.”

“NESN Live” also will feature updates from NESN reporters and game-day analysts from many different venues, including Fenway Park, TD Garden and Gillette Stadium. Interaction with New England sports fans will include viewer calls, fan-generated videos and text and/or tweet-to-screen features.

NESN continues to develop and launch new programs for New England sports fans as it celebrates its 30th anniversary this year with 200 NESN30 vignettes as well as a one-hour documentary scheduled for later this summer. “Dining Playbook with Billy and Jenny” (Saturdays at 9 a.m.) launched in February. In April, NESN launched “NESN Clubhouse” (www.NESNclubhouse.com), a unique commercial-free Red Sox kids pregame show that airs Sundays 90 minutes before NESN-televised games.
