New England Revolution Defeat Toronto FC, Move Into First Place

1399152940_mullinsThe New England Revolution moved into first place in the Eastern Conference Saturday afternoon after defeating Toronto FC on the road 2-1.

The Revs now have won four straight, and the victory also marked their first-ever win at BMO Field.

Toronto took an early 1-0 lead, but New England rookie Patrick Mullins knotted the score at 1-1 with his first professional goal in the 24th minute.

The score remained tied for most of the second half until Lee Ngyuen converted his third penalty kick in as many games in the 82nd minute to lift New England (4-3-2, 14 points) past Toronto.

The Revolution are now two points ahead of second-place Columbus Crew (12 points).
