Patrice Bergeron could add another potential honor to his list, with some help from his fans.

The Boston Bruins’ star forward already has been nominated this season as a finalist for the Selke Trophy and the NHL Foundation Player Award. Now he’s receiving some love from the gaming community, as he is one of eight quarterfinalists who could land on the cover of EA’s Sports’ “NHL 15” video game.

As it has in the past for its other titles, EA Sports is leaving the vote for the “NHL 15” cover up to the fans, who will narrow down the eight contestants bracket-style over the next two months.

If Bergeron advances past a first-round matchup with Ottawa Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson, he’ll face the winner of a matchup between two Bruins nemeses: Toronto Maple Leafs forward Phil Kessel and Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban. Fans can vote for their quarterfinal selections on the game’s website here.

As for the game itself, it looks pretty sweet. EA Sports released a spine-tingling teaser trailer that doesn’t feature actual game action but definitely builds suspense for the game’s release date, which is scheduled for fall 2014. Check out the trailer below.
