Stop us if you’ve heard this before, but Chicago Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane scored the game-winning goal in overtime Tuesday night.

Kane’s fourth career OT winner in a playoff game lifted the defending Stanley Cup champions past the Minnesota Wild 2-1 in Game 6 as Chicago punched its ticket to the Western Conference finals.

After the Wild dominated the first few minutes of overtime, the Blackhawks received some puck luck when defenseman Brent Seabrook dumped the puck into the zone. It took a funny bounce off the end boards, leading Peter Regin and Ryan Suter to both misplay the puck as they got tangled up, but Kane was right behind them to pick it up.

Kane used a forehand-backhand move to deke around Wild goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov and flip it into the net at the 9:40 mark of free hockey.

The Blackhawks next will face the winner of the Anaheim Ducks-Los Angeles Kings series.
