In a 180-degree turn from Tuesday’s Boston fan nonchalantly snagging a foul ball, Wednesday night’s Red Sox-Blue Jays game featured an epic struggle for a free souvenir.
A group of Red Sox fans sitting along the third base line at Fenway Park were excited when a foul ball lazily rolled down the wall in their direction. Multiple fans leaned over the padded wall, stretching out their limbs to capacity to try and grab the souvenir ball — which crept by just out of their reach. One guy even had to be pulled back into the stands by his legs to keep him from tumbling onto the field. A young man finally snatched the prize after what seemed like hours of desperately reaching.
We get that taking a foul ball home from a major league game can be cool, but you easily can go buy a baseball in the gift shop. Just sayin’.
