Report: Shelly Sterling Will Not Allow Donald Sterling To Sue NBA

If you thought that news about banned Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling would die down after his wife, Shelly, sold the team to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer on Thursday for $2 billion, then you were very wrong.

It appears as though Sterling still has unfinished business with the NBA, as he filed a $1 billion lawsuit against the league on Friday afternoon.

The problem for Donald, though, is that Shelly agreed not to sue the league in the deal. This move also prevents Donald from taking action.

Sterling’s attorney, Max Blecher, spoke Friday about why Donald was suing the league before he was blocked by his wife.

“The (termination) charges in the lawsuit are an invasion of his constitutional rights, violation of antitrust laws, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract,” Blecher said

Sterling proclaimed on Wednesday that the league had no right to remove him as owner. He said that he was illegally recorded during “an inflamed lover’s quarrel.”
