Like many 14-year-olds, Jalisha wants to be a police officer when she grows up. But unlike many 14-year-olds, Jalisha is battling end stage renal disease.
Luckily, the Make-A-Wish Foundation was able to make her dreams come true with a little help from the city of St. Louis and its mascots.
As reported by For The Win, Jalisha thought she was going to a doctor’s appointment, but she received a special mission from the police instead. She had to rescue St. Louis mascots Fredbird, Louie, and Rampage from their kidnapper.
Officer Jalisha gathered clues and was able to find the mascots being held captive by the Rally Squirrel at St. Louis’ Ballpark Village and save the day. After her heroic rescue, she got to work with St. Louis’ K-9 squad and meet their TACT team.
